Dubai Tourist Visa Requirements
Planning a vacation to Dubai, the glittering city in the United Arab Emirates? You’ll need to obtain a tourist visa before your visit. Dubai has specific visa requirements for foreign visitors that you’ll need to meet.
Eligibility
Dubai offers tourist visas to citizens of nearly all countries. However, there are certain nationalities that either receive visas on arrival or must apply in advance.
Citizens of the following countries can obtain a visa on arrival valid for 30 days with the option to extend for an additional 30 days:
• Andorra, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Monaco, New Zealand, San Marino, Singapore, United Kingdom, United States, and Vatican City
All other nationalities must apply for a visa in advance from the UAE embassy or consulate in their home country or apply for an e-visa online.
Required Documents
To apply for a Dubai tourist visa in advance, you’ll need to provide:
– Completed visa application form
– Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry
– Passport-sized photo
– Travel itinerary with dates and booking confirmations
– Proof of accommodation (hotel booking, rental confirmation, etc.)
– Bank statement or proof of sufficient funds
– Travel insurance
– Fee payment
E-Visa Option
Many visitors opt to apply for the Dubai e-visa or UAE e-visa online through apps likeeFawry. This allows tourists from eligible countries to obtain a 30-day visa valid for visiting Dubai and the other emirates.
The e-visa process involves uploading copies of your documents and submitting the application and fee online. Once approved, you’ll receive the electronic visa to print out and present at the airport.
Entry & Exit
When passing through Dubai immigration, visitors will need to show the e-visa printout or visa stamped into their passport. Tourist visas can be extended once inside the UAE for an additional 30 days.
